With generous contributions from our members and well wishers, we were able to buy 11 new smart phones and also received 2 used Tablets. These were distributed among the needy and deserving students of Vidya Vikas Mandal School where our Project Aashna has been going on for last four years. Since these children will be sharing the mobiles with their siblings or neighbors, the total outreach due to this donation would be around thirty. These students were struggling to cope up with the online classes conducted by the school. The donation was initiated at the behest of the school. The phone purchased was Samsung galaxy M02 model.
The event was organised yesterday (2/7/2021) by the school following all Covid protocol with minimum attendance. Trustee Sri.Amit Patil Sir, Principal, Smt. Nanda Dhumal and teachers Smt. Bharti Khade, Smt. Sunita Patil & Smt. Taple facilitated the smooth conduct of the program, Shri Amit Patil and Dhumal madam thanked our team and also gave instructions to the recipients on its usage. On behalf of WCW, Smt. Sreekala advised the parents and students to make judicious use of the mobile for education. Mr. Ravidra Warrier and Mr.RamMohan were also present to represent WCW during this event. At the end of the program, all parents and students individually came forward to express their deep gratitude.
